I would love to just put the price list on here for my bikes. However, since
I am in the custom bike restoration business, and almost every one of my clients
wants something different, it is impossible for me to provide a price list
in here.
Sept. 2007 Update:
Current
Estimated Quota and Lead Waiting Time is 6 Months for exist orders.
For New Orders: Order paused until further notes due to limited Quota I can get
from Chinese government .
Procedures to order your bike:
1. Tell me what
you really want by email then I will give a quote to you. If my price is suits your budget, then
I will work with you to finalize the detail configurations for
your dream bike by post mail then I will call you for
a phone interview.
2. I will start to restore your bike immediately after I receive your deposit.
I only ask you put 20% down. That just
shows your commitment. I will put much more than that into your bike. Once your bike's restoration
has started, naturally, your deposit cannot be refunded.
3. At (about) the 20th day of your restoration, I will
send progress
pictures to you. This is a good time for minor modification.
Beyond this point many things will be permanent!
4. At (about) the 25th to 30th days of your restoration, I will
send the
finished pictures to you for you to verify.
5. If you say it is a beautiful bike (That
is exactly what most of my clients said. Usually you are falling in love with your
bike at this point of time), then we are going to change the testing tires and
pipes to new ones, and ship your lovely bike to you.
This is the last call if you want hire a broker to do the complex customs
clearance and local trucking for you at extra charge. This sale is a direct importation from China.
For the first timer, you may feel difficult to
handle it. The rest is due before the
ship date. Why? Because once we ship it out, IT IS YOURS! We can not get it
back.
6. The papers will
be express mailed to you about 20 days after the shipping date. If
you need additional papers, we still have time to get it for you.
7. Then there is a
waiting period…..25 days, 30 days, 40 days, 50 days….
8. Notification will send to you by your freight company in your country.
They ask you money for cargo inspection fees, handle fees, warehouse fees, duty
or some other fees you never heard in your life. Please mail the money and
related paper to them in time; Otherwise, they are not going to release your
bike. These fees usually cost from $200 to $750 in USD.
9. Do the custom clearance by yourself or by your broker.
If by broker, you can decide at step 5 or earlier, otherwise you may find difficult to
find a cheaper one locally. For example, in the Boston area, $350 for broker fee + $50 bonds for
a broker specialized in automotive importation. You should have all the paper
that you or your broker need to do this.
10. Rent or buy a trailer and
pickup your bike from the custom bonds
warehouse or you broker will arrange a local trucking delivery service for you.
Again, they will ask you to pay the fees. It is about $50 to $150 in the US. That is the way of
life, you need to feed the sucker on the road!
Note: If you order a door to door service,
what you need to do is write a couple checks and fill out couple forms, then get
a few men to help you to unload your dream bike when the local trucking company
delivers it to your home. That is what you need to do it all. It is worth every
penny your spend on it and take all the worry out of fun.
Note: Prices do change from time to time without
notice. Your price is the quote I send to you by email and it is valid for 14 days only.
