Those Chang Jiang 750 motorcycles were made for Chinese Army with
top grade quality for battle, supposed for the war with the USSR in the 1960s.
Tension was very high at that time
between China and the USSR, because the USSR wanted to expand in the
1960s in east and west fronts. That is one of the funniest things if you consider where the
manufacturing tools for Chang Jiang 750 motorcycle originally came from in the first place.
Those Chang Jiang motorcycles were manufactured side by side in the same factory with military CJ 6
fight plans, heavy 105 mm artillery and 56, 57, 62 model battle tanks in the
heartland of JianXi providence in China. Remember that there was no country in the
world with long range cruise missiles at that time, so production of the Chang
Jiang motorcycle could continue during the war even in the case of fighting
between China and the USSR on the northern front. They are sturdy and work
very well for modern age restorations even after so many years. Of
course, the original 1960's wreck staged CJ 750 is not safe to ride if the owner
does not restore it right with new or "new old stock" high quality parts like we
do.
